I got this from tumblr because livejournal died on me when I wrote this.

Last week was my hall’s award board ceremony and I was nominated for best dancer but didn’t win. I posted some rather depressing tweets on twitter that were picked up by my senior, C. She got the captain to speak to me over facebook. If that wasn’t enough, she came by around 2 hours ago, to hand me the certificates for the dancers and to ‘check on me’. Less than 5 minutes into the conversation she started to tear and that made me cry. So both of us were outside my door, sobbing and tearing and laughing all at once. I can’t even express how thankful to have a senior like that. She said she felt bad and could really tell how upset I was from my tweets. I found out that the seniors were also shocked by the results because they really did expect me to win as the previous captains-to-be did. I knew I didn’t stand a chance because the other nominee was the male lead and pretty popular in hall. That didn’t stop me from getting all depressed and hostile though. And I guess that really worried her. I’m just so grateful for people like that in my life. She will really be one of the reasons I hang on and pull through the whole of next year and bring the crew to glory again, despite losing to someone with significantly less dance experience for best dancer. I was thinking of how I was going to face others and juniors when they asked, so how good are you? And I have to reply, well, not good enough to win best dancer. C tried to comfort me by saying he really won by popularity but I have to acknowledge the effort he has put in for his lead role as well. I believe he deserved the award as much as I did, perhaps even more. Because of C, I feel less sorry for myself and that much more determined to become a better dancer than I already am. I think the rest of the seniors didn’t think I would take it so hard/didn’t even give a shit. So I really have to thank her for caring. ♥

This toy was part of my childhood. 15 years on, I'm still deeply intrigued and fascinated by it. Geuine curiosity and interest that I seem to have lost through the years.

Many whom I'm closed to have told me that I've changed over the years. I hope it's for the better. Some have told me that I've become more cheerful. Some notice the change in appearance (no more 'in your face' forehead). Some say I've become more responsible since my parents' divorce. Most of these were changes I weren't even aware of. 

When I was in secondary 2 however, two of my closest friends came to me with a huge secret. The secret was long over due, especially so since we have been pretty tight. One of them said: "We hesitated in telling you because although we know you don't mean it, but sometimes, things just slips off your tongue." Ever since, I've been trying to keep secrets secret and hold my tongue. Think before I speak, if you may. 

The trigger to this entry was an incident where I bumped into a (currently still unknown) couple while I was picking my brother up at the airport. Today, the female asked a mutual friend that's somewhat close to both of us if her secret is safe with me. And the friend said, "Yah, she won't say one. Trust me." And I thought, wow, I've come a long long way since "We didn't want to tell you because..." 
I'm proud of this change in myself because it isn't easy.

I am grateful to become the young lady I am today. I'm thankful to my family, my friends, my enemies, my used-to-be friends, my to-be friends and any and everyone who sparked any form of change in me. 

My hectic school schedule had seriously deprived me of spending quality time with my family within the comforts of my home and the oblivion of my family members has caused the house to deteriorate to intolerable standards. After much consideration and thought, I've decided that I will stop tutoring completely. Having to tutor has prevented me from breaking away from the crazy outside life to simply enjoy the tranquility of my home. So I have decided to strip myself of the burden and put full concentration on my studies. I am contemplating to get a part-time job that is within close proximity of NTU though, perhaps an on-campus job or one at Jurong Point or something. Anyone has ideas? 

My lovely group of pretty friends and I had an early Christmas celebration on the 4th of December where we had a splendid buffet dinner at Amara Hotel, courtesy of Danial's mom who gave us 50% off and had our gift exchange! It was really really great great fun catching up with them and basically just talking. Danial and Rayson joined us as well, and it really was a great night.



My santee was Zhijun and she does looks pleased right? I got her a personalized Starbucks tumblr and a super-her soft toy and some f21 shades which is OMFGSOFUCKINGLATEITJUSTARRIVEDINSINGAPOREYESTERDAY. Hope you like everything babe! Oh, not to forget the tiedye bags that Sharlyn and I made for all our friends! Zhijun got the one below but didn't like it cause it looks like a sanitary pad. So she exchanged it for a chio-er heart shaped one. 



Weihui/Sarah/Crybaby was my santa! And look at all the amazeballs she got me! A Dorothy Perkins clutch (now I can have one at home and one in hall!), a kikki.k weekly planner (I asked her to get it for me i.e. not on my wishlist, but very useful and i'm very thankful nevertheless), a BEEEEYOUUUTIIIFOOLL feather necklace from diva (although i have to confess, the feather is threatening to break already, i'm too chorlor :c) and last but not least, two huge packets of maltesers (which i have already finished by the way). 



Prior to this night, each of the six of us actually posted a wishlist on our facebook page so our 'santa' wouldn't have to work so hard. Since Christmas has still yet to come, and my birthday is merely 2 months away, I thought I'd post my wishlist up! hint hint
